As we enter an exciting period of transformational growth and clinical excellence, Police Care UK is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Chief Executive Officer to lead our charity through its next chapter. As CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our support for serving and former police personnel who have been harmed as a result of their service.
Our roots go back to 1926. We are independent of the police service, working closely with police forces and representative bodies across the UK. Over the last decade, Police Care UK has grown into a national charity that provides transformational support to people injured in the service of policing and their families. Our long-standing tradition of policing by consent means that the way the police service keeps our communities safe, places even further risk and burden on its people.
Beyond the iconic ‘bobbies’ on our streets, policing in the modern world demands a wide range of less visible enforcement with similar psychological and physical risks. We have a small team operating on a modest annual budget, that continues to deliver life-changing support to serving and retired police officers, staff and their families. We are helped by a nationwide movement of volunteers who give long hours in support of this mission and our ongoing relationships across the service. This means we have been able to expand our support while continuing to design and test innovative new treatments and clinical programmes.
We have ambitious plans for the future of Police Care UK and hope you will join us on our journey.
